Salted Caramel Pecan Bars

Prep time: 15 minutes Total time: 45 minutes Serves: 9

Ingredients

Crust

Pecan Topping

  • 2 Tbsp melted ghee or butter 

  • ¼  cup coconut sugar 

  • 3 large egg whites 

  • 2 cups raw pecan halves 

Equipment

  • 8x8 baking pan

  • Parchment paper

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF and line a 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper. In a medium mixing bowl, combine almond flour, salted caramel bone broth protein powder, and melted ghee. Stir until evenly moistened. 

  2. Press crust into pan and bake for 10 minutes. Cool at room temperature while preparing the pecan topping. 

  3. Whisk together melted ghee and coconut sugar. Whisk in egg whites. Add pecans and stir well to coat. 

  4. Pour pecan topping evenly over crust. Bake for 20 minutes at 350ºF.

  5. Cool completely at room temperature for 2 hours before slicing into bars.
